The anum abaya comes in different colors of silk velvet, the back has a short panel of mashroo handwoven fabric in stripes and block prints. Mashroo accents are also seen on the welt of the pockets and sleeve cuffs. Some colors have hand embroidered chevrons edging the sleeve. Mashroo is a very special handwoven fabric with a satin weave showing silk yarns on the surface and cotton on the inside. Tassels at the base of the back panel add interest.
